Thailand Trademark

Detailed Procedures / Steps
 
1. Draft Power of Attorney. In case the applicant is from overseas, a notary public must certify it.
2. Trademark Research at the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP)
3. Lodge application at DIP
4.Submit an appeal in case there is opposition or rejection.
 
The approval process takes nine to twelve months but the affectivity date of trademark is on the date when the application wasfiled.
 
Required documents

1.Power of Attorney
2.Passport copy of the owner of trademark or company registration documents (if the owner is a company) attached with a signed copy of the directors passport or Thai ID.
3.Jpeg file of the logo
4. List of the class(es) of service(s) or goods being applied for.

Trademark (Overseas Application)

General Procedure
 
1.Trademark search
2. Filling of application
3. The process will between 9-12 months
 
Required documents
 
1.Power of Attorney
2.Passport copy of the owner of trademark. In case the trademark owner is a company, the company affidavit is required with the passport (Thai ID) of the director
3. Jpeg file of the logo
4. List of the class(es) of service(s) or goods being applied for.
5. In some cases, translation of documents into the local language is required.

The aim is to do preliminary trade mark use search
